1. Clean it thoroughly
Wipe down screen, keyboard, ports. A clean device photographs better and signals care to the buyer's inspector.
2. Sign out of every account
iCloud, Google, Microsoft, Find My — sign out everywhere. Activation-locked devices get severely discounted offers.
3. Factory reset
